Uttar Pradesh: State Public Service Commission Exam Cancelled After Students’ Protest
The step was taken only after protesting students marched to the office of UPPSC.
After distributing wrong question papers to the examinees in Allahabad, the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) was forced to cancel the UPPSC Mains (Hindi) examination on Tuesday. The step was taken after protesting students marched to the office of UPPSC.
The examiners at Government Inter College distributed essay writing question papers in the first shift of the exam, which otherwise were to be given in the second shift. The students were supposed to undertake General Hindi during the first shift, Hindustan Times reported.
Even though the candidates pointed out the mix up in the question papers, the invigilators dismissed their remarks and asked them to answer the questions.
Later, the General Hindi exams were cancelled only after the students staged a protest and marched to the office of UPPSC.
“The date of conducting the cancelled exams would be announced later. Rest of the exams would take place as per pre-announced schedule,” the commission’s secretary Jagdish told Hindustan Times.
