UPDATE: The corporate ombudsman at Tech Mahindra reached out to me. I have given all the necessary information and answered all the questions to the best of my knowledge and honesty. I have also provided them with witnesses and contacts of people who would corroborate my story.

Speaking to Mumbai Mirror after receiving Tech Mahindra’s message, Pramanik said, “I stand vindicated.” However, he also noted that companies should frame policies to check such bigotry and homophobia in the corporate sector. “At Tech Mahindra, simply firing someone doesn’t absolve the company of the responsibility of retaining the employee concerned in the system for so many years, despite her fairly well-known and bigoted stand on many issues,” he added.
