Shocking: A Rajasthan BJP MLA Openly Issues Rape Threats Against Girls
He’s the third BJP MLA to threaten direct violence this week.
Gyan Dev Ahuja, who is the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA from Alwar, Rajasthan made extremely misogynistic and communal remarks while talking about ‘love jihad’ – a term used by Hindu right wing groups to refer to instances of Hindu-Muslim inter-faith love and marriages. The Hindu nationalist rhetoric prohibits such inter-faith relationships, especially when the man is Muslim and the girl is Hindu.
As reported by ANI, Ahuja said on Wednesday, “Our girls whom you have lured with love Jihad, I will give you time for that. Either bring them back otherwise, if 10 girls have gone then 20, if 20 have gone then 40 and if 40 have gone then your 80 daughters will not be safe because you have forced religious conversion.”
Hamari jo ladkiyan gayi hai, love jihad ka lobh deke le gaye ho,uske liye time doonga. Ya unko laao nahi to phir 10 gayi hai to 20, 20 gayi hai to 40 aur 40 gayi hai to 80, phir tumhari betiyaan surakshit nahi hogi kyunki tumne balat dharm parivartan kiya hai: MLA GD Ahuja(1.8.18) pic.twitter.com/f07WpinYjX

Bhagwan Sri Ram to maryada mein rahe, Krishna bhagwan ne saari maryadaein tod kar dharmuddh kiya aur dhram ki sthapna ki. Jarasandh kaise marega, Duryodhan kaise marega iske liye chaal, chhaddam aur sangharsh bhi karna padega to karenge: BJP MLA Gyan Dev Ahuja (1.8.2018) pic.twitter.com/88Op5v3PmT

To what appears to be a direct threat to a minority community, the MLA added that like the Hindu god Krishna, he is also ready to do Dharmyuddh, for which, “chaal, chhaddam aur sangharsh bhi karna padega to karenge.”
He is the third BJP MLA to threaten direct violence in this week alone. A BJP MLA in Telangana called for “shooting” the 40 lakh people left out of the NRC final draft in Assam. Before him, another BJP MLA from Karnataka had said that he would have ordered intellectuals and seculars to be “shot” if he was the home minister.
