Shiv Sena To Split From NDA Before 2019 Polls? Amit Shah Drops Hints

National Democratic Alliance (NDA) ally Shiv Sena has voiced its opinion against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on several occasions. The party has even demanded a Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) probe in the Rafale deal controversy. BJP president Amit Shah’s latest meeting with Maharashtra BJP MPs now indicate that Sena might split from the NDA before 2019 polls.
According to ANI, Shah has asked Maharashtra BJP MPs to prepare for the possibility of contesting elections alone in the state.

In its latest editorial in the Shiv Sena mouthpiece Saamana, the party slammed the Modi government, claiming that Christian Michel, the alleged middleman in the AgustaWestland deal, is being pressurised to name Sonia Gandhi in the suspected scam. According to the editorial, the aim is to corner the Congress leader and her son Rahul Gandhi ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.
