According to a survey conducted by Manpower group, hiring in the formal job market remained stagnant in the country.
The survey conducted on 5,110 employees revealed that that 16 per cent planned to increase their workforce in the quarter ending September, which included data of companies in the formal companies, who employ 10 or more workers.
According to Economic Times, the group managing director of Manpower group AG Rap said, “Some of the major trends that will drive recruitment in 2018 are diversity, automated recruitment, virtual reality, remote working options”.
Although there is no official unemployment data for 2018, the one compiled by the Center for monitoring Indian economy represents a minute fall in the unemployment rate from 5.64 in April to 5.29 in May.
