Behtar Bharat: NSUI Protests in Delhi, Asks For Students’ Issues to be Part of National Agenda
Corruption-free exams, hostels, students’ rights commission, political representation and more should be part of political discourse, the NSUI demanded.
As a part of its Behtar Bharat (Better India) campaign, the National Students’ Union of India (NSUI), the youth wing of the Congress carried out a protest march outside the Rajiv Chowk Metro Station in New Delhi on January 12. Through the event, the NSUI stated that students’ issues be part of the national agenda of political parties.
The NSUI highlighted several problems that warranted an inclusion in the national agenda. These include equal educational opportunities, transparent and corruption-free exams, hostels, students’ rights commission, political representation and substantive role of young people in nation-building.
