Rajasthan: BJP MLA's Son Beats A Man For Not Letting Him Overtake

A Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) lawmaker’s son was caught on CCTV slapping a civilian several times, only because he wasn’t allowed to overtake. This incident took place on June 1 in Rajasthan’s Banswara’s Vidyut Colony.

Raja, the son of Banswara MLA Dhan Singh Rawat can be seen coming out of his SUV and dragging a man out of a Maruti Suzuki Swift. Raja then brutally slapped the man several times. In the video, people who were accompanying Raja can also be seen hitting the man.

Neerav Upadhyay, the victim told ANI, “I was going in my car on a one-way road. They didn’t get side to overtake. We just had an argument. I don’t want to file any case. They were seven-eight people.” Upadhyay has still not gone to the police fearing the BJP leader. “This matter is one month old and has been settled between both the parties. We cannot take action on this issue as nobody has lodged a written or verbal complaint,” Banswara superintendent of police, (SP) Kalu Ram Rawat told Hindustan Times.
