  • 60% People Think Narendra Modi Govt Is Corrupt, BJP’s Popularity Is On A Decline, Suggests New Survey

According to a survey conducted by Lokniti Centre for the Study of Developing Societies (CSDS), the popularity of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has dipped and 60 per cent people believe that the Narendra Modi Government is corrupt. Modi government is as unpopular right now as the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) was in July 2013.   • Buri Niyat? Haryana Officer Who Filed Police Complaint Against CM Khattar’s Office Receives Transfer Order

The Haryana forest department officer, who had lodged a complaint with Haryana Police after sensitive documents related to whistleblower bureaucrat Sanjiv Chaturvedi’s case went missing from Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar’s office, received a transfer notice on Wednesday. The complaint was filed on May 21 by Rajendra Singh Chillar, superintendent of the forests department. Chillar is now transferred to the Animal Husbandry branch. Read more here.

  • BJP MLA Asks Women To Produce sanskari’ kids, else remain infertile

Shakaya made the derogatory statement while accusing the Congress party of wiping out the poor from the country, instead of poverty at an event in Guna, Madhya Pradesh. “The Congress came up with the slogan of ‘Gharibi Hatao’ but wiped out the poor instead. There are women who give birth to such leaders. Women should rather remain infertile than produce kids who are not ‘sanskari’ and who defile the society.” Read more here.

The residents of Pushkar, experiencing acute water shortage for over two months now, staged a protest outside the water pumping station of the Water Supply Department on Wednesday. Distressed by the prevailing crisis, the residents gave a notice of 24 hours to the officials to restore water supply.   • Now, RSS Plans Strategy To ‘Indianise’ Social Work Courses In Universities

Bharatiya Shikshan Mandal, the education wing of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) wants colleges and universities to include social reform stories of Indian reform workers such as Guru Nanak, Narayan Guru, Jyotiba Phule, Nanaji Deshmukh, Vinoba Bhave and Rani Gaidinilu in the social work courses. The Mandal has called a meeting to plan a strategy for making this plan effective. RSS intends to completely remove any colonial influence from social work courses taught here and foster “decolonisation, Indianisation and indigenisation of social work”. Read more here.

  • Kejriwal Urges PM Narendra Modi To Intervene To End IAS Officers’ Strike

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal today wrote to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, seeking his intervention to end the IAS officers’ “strike” claiming that Lt Governor Anil Baijal was doing “nothing” to break the impasse. In his letter to Modi, Kejriwal cited instances when the government work was stuck as the officers have not been attending meetings with ministers for the past three months. Read more here
