In a tweet about Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressing the press ahead of the Winter Session of the Parliament, Doordarshan Hindi Twitter Handle ominously referred to him as the ‘former prime minister’ on December 11, 2018.
One can Assume that the ‘slip up’ had something to do with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)’s poor performance in the assembly elections in Telangana, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.
In light of the approaching 2019 general elections, BJP’s electoral setback in the states is being seen as a referendum on the Narendra Modi-led government at the centre.
