Mumbai: 13-year-old Collapses, Dies At Event Organised by BJP
The locals have alleged that the children had to wait for a long time before the event started, in Kandivali.
A 13-year-old girl died during a dance competition event organised by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Kandivali, a western suburb in Mumbai on Tuesday, November 27.
Anisha Sharma, a Class VII student, reportedly collapsed on the stage during her dance performance and lost consciousness. The Times of India reported that she was taken to the local Babasaheb Ambedkar hospital where she was pronounced dead before admission.

Reportedly, according to the locals, the programme did not start at the scheduled time and the children had to wait for around four hours. There were also allegations that the children remained hungry and thirsty for five-six hours.
According to the TOI report, an autopsy would be performed on Wednesday, November 28 to ascertain the cause of Anisha’s death. A case of accidental death has been registered even as police officials were checking if the allegations of the children not been given anything to eat and drink were true.
Mumbai Live reported that the event was organised by local BJP corporator, Kamlesh Yadav at the Mahila Aadhar Bhavan.
