Entire Mathematics: According To The BJP, Rs 1.1 Lakh Cr Is Greater Than Rs 2.53 Lakh Crore

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday, tweeted another misleading graph, showing the beneficiaries of the Mudra Yojana and the loans sanctioned by the government under the scheme, from 2015 to October 2018. BJP’s logical reasoning in this graph took a hit.

According to the graph, titled ‘Promoting entrepreneurship and empowering youth with financial security’, Rs 1.1 lakh crore is greater than Rs 2.53, Rs 1.80 and Rs 1.37 lakh crore.

This isn’t the first time that the party has tried to mislead social media users with ill-informed graphs. Earlier in September, BJP had claimed in a graphs that petrol was now cheaper at Rs 72/litre as compared to Rs 56/litre in 2014. 

The petrol prices graph had soon gone viral and the party was mocked to bits, which is probably why this time around, the tweet was deleted before social media could do what  it does best.

Some Twitter users still managed to squeeze out a few laughs.

However, it seems that BJP leaders who were clearly ordered to post the same tweet from their individual Twitter handles, haven’t yet received the orders to delete it. The copy-paste tweet is still up on the Twitter handles of a number of BJP’s state-level leaders.
