On Wednesday, the Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government in Delhi had told the Supreme Court that it would release Rs 500 crore within two days to help resolve the crisis. It is expected of the Lieutenant Governor (LG) of Delhi and the Centre to contribute similarly.
“The Delhi government has volunteered to give Rs 500 crore. How much is to be given to EDMC, SDMC or North DMC, they will decide it,” the SC bench had said, adding that the matter was to be resolved by the LG the Centre and the Delhi government.
