Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation Asks Former IPS Officer Sanjiv Bhatt And His Wife Shweta Bhatt To Reimburse Money Spent On Demolishing Their House
In July, the Supreme permitted the AMC to demolish a part of Bhatt’s house. Following the apex court order, a team from the AMC razed the portion.
In a Facebook post, Shweta Bhatt, wife of former IPS officer Sanjiv Bhatt on Saturday said that the AMC (Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation) has issued a letter seeking reimbursement for the money spent on demolishing their house at Shushil Nagar society in Ahmedabad.
In a Facebook post, Shweta noted that she wondered “what is worse, watching these fascist forces maliciously demolish my home for personal vendetta or being forced to pay for their vindictive actions against me and my family.”

Meanwhile, on September 5, the Gujarat Police arrested Bhatt in connection with a 1996 narcotics case in which Rajasthan-based lawyer Sumer Singh Rajpurohit was allegedly framed by the Banaskantha police.
