In a video, a father in a Bihar district takes his dead daughter on his lap and lashes at Prime Minister Narendra Modi as she died because she could not get medical treatment on time after a snake bite her.
The father underlined that he took his daughter to a medical clinic in Majorganj. They gave her two injections. However, he wanted to take her to Sitamarhi government hospital realising that she needs better treatment. The authorities refused to provide ambulance even after he pleaded. As the bereaved father took her in a tempo, the girl died mid-way before they could reach the hospital.
Now, the father is asking PM Modi if this was what he meant by beti bachao? He questioned why there was no ambulance to take his daughter and why was she not given proper treatment and added that the scheme beti bachao is rather beti mauth.
While he vented out his anger as his dead daughter lied on his lap, the mourning mother and other locals can be seen in the background. The video is shared by many individuals on social media.
