Do Facts Prove That BJP Thrives On Creating Communal Disharmony? Yes, They Do.
Cong: “Multiple reports – by ADR India, Yale University and Amnesty – have shown that it is, in fact, the BJP, that promotes communal tensions.”
After BJP minister Nirmala Sitharaman remarked that the Congress would be responsible for any communal disharmony that plays out between now and 2019 elections, the Congress took to Twitter and asked Sitharaman to “stop holding press conferences quoting fake news.”
Dear @nsitharaman, please stop holding press conferences quoting fake news articles. The Congress at its core is an inclusive party and has always condemned communal incidents. BJP on the other hand thrives on creating communal disharmony & facts prove this. https://t.co/L6mcnDoJ7p

They also said that multiple reports – by ADR India, Yale University and Amnesty – have shown that it is, in fact, the BJP, that promotes communal tensions.
As per @adrspeaks report, almost 50% hate speech cases are against BJP leaders, @YaleUniver research shows BJP's vote share increases after every communal riot prior to elections. @amnesty states there has been an alarming increase in crimes against marginalised groups since 2014

The Congress also questioned BJP’s ‘vikas’ policy, Citing a story by The Wire about people’s houses and temples being demolished in Banaras.
What we'd like to hear from you is this: news reports coming in from Banaras, India's spiritual capital, say that the BJP has been demolishing Mandirs & idols of Lord Shiva, in the name of "Vikas". Would you care to explain your hypocrisy? #AntiHinduBJPhttps://t.co/yLYBe7jICx

Urging the Defence Minister to talk about “real issues” the Congress also sought an explanation for the killing of two CRPF Jawans in J&K.
Also, as the Defence Minister, we expect you to safeguard our country and protect our soldiers. Please explain the killings of the two CRPF jawans this morning in J&K. Please address REAL issues.
